Aphrodite's child: Lucas Sideras (feature documentary trailer)
Legendary Aphrodite's Child drummer, Lucas Sideras, is currently making a comeback with his new musical adventure, "LST".
Following rehearsals and live appearances in small clubs in Athens, we take the chance to revisit his past, from the early attempts with so-called '60's Greek garage bands such as "The Minis" & "The Stormies", to the great European success with Aphrodite's Child (20 million albums sold between 1968 - 1972, including the all-time classic double LP "666" ), then on to an eclectic solo career as a recording artist with various collaborations, as well as a record producer.
At the same time, Lucas pursued his interest in billiard, became a champion, an activity he still practices today.
Finally, interviews with various musicians that have collaborated with Lucas throughout his almost half-a-century involvement in the music business, form the portrait of a unique musician, who in true fashion "did it his way": among our guests the presence of Vangelis (Papathanassiou-academy award winner for "Charriots of fire"), really shines in an exclusive interview, since he rarely appears on camera -a close friend of Lucas since childhood-, leader and main composer in Aphrodite's Child.
The rest of the "cast" features Demis Roussos in a tender account of his artistic relation with Lucas, Silver Koulouris in a great guitar impro and "la creme de la creme" of contemporary and veteran musicians from the "Greek"-scene...
To be completed in late 2011....
