Τα "καλύτερα" άλμπουμ του 2011

Η χρονιά τελειώνει και οι διάφοροι ειδικοί και επαγγελματίες του είδους βγάζουν τις λίστες με τα καλύτερα της χρονιάς. Έχω τη συνήθεια να τα μαζεύω για το προσωπικό μου αρχείο και φυσικά λέω να τα μοιραστώ μαζί σας. Λείπουν κάποιες σημαντικές λίστες ακόμη και πιστεύω τις επόμενες μέρες να τις έχω. Παρ' όλα αυτά είναι νομίζω καθαρό ποια άλμπουμ ξεχώρισαν.

Αδιαμφισβήτητα κυρίαρχη αυτή τη χρονιά ήταν η PJ Harvey με το Let England Shake. Δεν θυμάμαι πόσα χρόνια είχα να δω τέτοια ομοφωνία κριτικών. Πολύ εντυπωσιακό. Από κει και πέρα υπάρχουν σε ψηλές θέσεις ονόματα όπως οι Horrors, White Denim, Kurt Vile, Tom Waits, Bon Iver, Wild Beasts, κλπ. Από τις πιο ποπ και εμπορικές παρουσίες ξεχωρίζουν η Adele και οι Florence + The Machine.

Πολύ ενδιαφέρον, να βλέπουμε τόσες λίστες από γνωστά έντυπα και σάητ, μαζεμένες. Η πιο άστοχη είναι, κατά τη γνώμη μου, του rolling stone(στο 47. η PJ Harvey και στο 6. η Lady Gaga..).

Τι θα λέγατε να ποστάρουμε και τις δικές μας;

Το Rolling Stone εδώ και χρόνια είναι σε άλλο πλανήτη...

Το Pitchfork όπως πάντα, έχει την πιο ¨έγκυρη¨, δημοσιογραφικά, λίστα.

Στα περίεργα να βάλω το Q που έχει βάλει την Florence στο 1 και στο 2 την PJ. Ότι νάναι δηλαδή.

Για τους φαν του μέταλ, να πω ότι αυτή η χρονιά δείχνει περίτρανα ότι το μέταλ επιστρέφει, πιο δυνατό από ποτέ. Και δε μιλάω με μπάντες γνωστές που έχουν καεί εδώ και χρόνια, αλλά με underground αμερικάνικες (κυρίως) μπάντες που συνδιάζουν πολλά είδη και έχουν ανοιχτά μυαλά.

YOB, The Atlas Moth, Blut Aus Nord και φυσικά οι Liturgy με το Aesthetica που βγάζουν το death/black metal από τον Μεγάλο Ύπνο.

Ενδιαφέρουσες οι λίστες του roadrunner. Ειδικά όταν βλέπεις κάποιους "θεούς" τύπου Petrucci να έχουν στη λίστα τους την Adele!!! Απλά αποδυκνεύει ότι ένας μεγάλος πραγματικά μουσικός πρέπει να έχει και μεγάλη ευρύτητα πνεύματος.

Βασίλη, πολύ ωραία η μέθοδός σου. Θα την εφάρμοζα κι εγώ, αλλά μου φαίνεται αρκετά δύσκολο να ακούσω μαζεμένους τους δίσκους που έχασα από μια χρονιά. Ακόμα κι αν υπήρχε ο χρόνος, νομίζω πως δεν θα προλάβαινα να τους "χωνέψω". Άρα έχω συμβιβαστεί με την ιδέα ότι, μοιραία, δεν θα ακούσω όλη την μουσική που θα ήθελα.

Πάντως, αν και βλέπω πως το ενδιαφέρον είναι περιορισμένο, εγώ περιμένω τη λίστα σου και, κατόπιν, θα ποστάρω και την δική μου.
