Τα "καλύτερα" albums του 2014

Κάθε χρόνο τα μαζεύω για το προσωπικό μου αρχείο και τα τελευταία χρόνια τα μοιράζομαι και μαζί σας. Για όποιον ενδιαφέρεται, είναι οι λίστες με τα "καλύτερα" albums της χρονιάς που τελειώνει από τους επαγγελματίες του είδους.

Τα δύο albums που ξεχωρίζουν είναι το "Lost In The Dream" των The War On Drugs και το ομώνυμο της St. Vincent.

Αυτοι οι The war on drugs, τι ειναι και βρισκονται σε ολα τα τσαρτς ρε φιλε; Θα τους αναζητησω. Ευχαριστουμε πολυ που τα μοιραστηκες μαζι μας ινδιανε. Επισης δνε ξερω αν τα παραπανω αφορουν ολα τα ειδη και οχι πχ μονο alternative. Εξ ου και η διαφορα του Rolling stone ισως.

Οι The War On Drugs χαρακτηρίζονται σαν folk rock αλλά κατά την ταπεινή μου άποψη πηγαίνουν το πράγμα πιο πέρα. Πολύ καλή δομή τραγουδιών και υψηλή αισθητική. Αξίζουν μιας ακρόασης! Γιατί σίγουρα θα ακολουθήσει 2η και 3η.

Οι λίστες έχουν κατά βάση alternative αλλά και rock πολλών μορφών καθώς επίσης και (σε μικρότερες δόσεις) pop, hip hop και r'n'b. Metal δεν ειδα πάντως.

Το Rolling Stone είναι παραδοσιακά ...παραδοσιακό.  ;D

Συμφωνώ.

Ισχύει όμως, ότι θα έπρεπε να είναι συντομότερες (10 θέσεις είναι αρκετές) και να εκτείνονται σε περισσότερα μουσικά είδη (10 θέσεις ανά είδος). Αυτό που προσπαθούν να πουν (έτσι όπως είναι) ότι οι διαφορές ανάμεσα στα μουσικά ιδιώματα είναι παραγνωρίσιμες, άποψη που δεν είναι δυνατό να ισχύει.

Ισχύει όμως, ότι θα έπρεπε να είναι συντομότερες (10 θέσεις είναι αρκετές) και να εκτείνονται σε περισσότερα μουσικά είδη (10 θέσεις ανά είδος). Αυτό που προσπαθούν να πουν (έτσι όπως είναι) ότι οι διαφορές ανάμεσα στα μουσικά ιδιώματα είναι παραγνωρίσιμες, άποψη που δεν είναι δυνατό να ισχύει.

Δεν μπορώ κι εγώ παρά να συμφωνήσω.

Παρ' όλα αυτά όμως, όταν sites όπως το Amazon, το Time, το Billboard, κλπ. που καλύπτουν κυριολεκτικά ΟΛΟ το φάσμα της μουσικής, επιλέγουν τα συγκεκριμένα albums για καλύτερα, πιστεύω ότι είναι αρκετά ενδεικτικό.

Από την άλλη τα πιο ειδικευμένα sites σε alternative, κλπ. αναφέρονται στη μουσική που ακούω εδώ και μερικές ...δεκαετίες, οπότε εδώ μπαίνει και ο προσωπικός (δικός μου) παράγοντας επιλογής. Προφανώς θα υπάρχουν και άλλα sites για jazz, blues, ethnic, metal, κλπ. με διαφορετικές επιλογές. Όποιοι φίλοι έχουν τέτοιες λίστες που τις θεωρούν αξιόλογες, γιατί να μην τις ανεβάσουν;
