...και δεν έχουν ακόμη αντιμετωπίσει τα διάφορα κοράκια που συλλέγουν αριθμούς πιστωτικών καρτών, έλαβα το εξής e-mail:

Για να απαντήσω στην πρώτη εύλογη ερώτηση: Όχι, δεν αγόρασα ρολόι 400 δολαρίων!

Παρότι μοιάζει καθ' όλα νόμιμο (έχει το λογότυπο του PayPal, το στυλ είναι πανομοιότυπο κ.λπ.), και η σελίδα που σε στέλνει το ίδιο, το mail αυτό είναι προφανής προσπάθεια από κοινού χρήσης της πιστωτικής σας κάρτας, από κάποιους που πιθανότατα δεν έχουν δική τους (οι κακόμοιροι)! Και εντάξει να στο ζητήσουν ευγενικά, αλλά έτσι; Είπαμε κοινοκτημοσύνη, αλληλοβοήθεια, υποστήριξη στους αναξιοπαθούντες, αλλά όχι και να μας... Τέλος πάντων, να μην βρίσω μέρες που είναι.

Λοιπόν, του κατ ε λονγκ στόρυ σορτ, έκανα forward το email στο (original) PayPal ([email protected] είναι η διεύθυνση που ασχολείται με τα σχετικά θέματα) και ιδού η απάντηση:

Είναι από τις πιο ασφαλείς μεθόδους.

Το εν λόγω e-mail (το πρώτο) δεν προέρχεται από το PayPal, αλλά από κάποιους τύπους που θεωρούν ότι έχουν βρει έναν έξυπνο τρόπο να εξαντλήσουν το πιστωτικό όριο του φτωχού πλην τίμιου βιοπαλαιστή.

Σόρυ παιδιά, αλλά σε σύγκριση με το ελληνικό Υπουργείο Εθνικής Οικονομίας είστε ερασιτέχνες...

Το λινκ που εδινε για να πας να το ''φτιαξεις'' ζηταγε credit card και κωδικους κτλ.Φυσικα δε τα εβαλα αλλα εμοιαζε αυθεντικο.Μετα μπηκα στο λογαριασμο μου στο Ebay και μου ειχαν στειλει απο το ebay εμαιλ οτι το Ebay και το paypal δε στελνουν ποτε εμαιλ και να ζητανε προσωπικα δεδομενα για λογαριασμους και πιστωτικες καρτες.Ειχε και ενα παραδειγμα με ψευτικα εμαιλ και ηταν σχεδον ιδιο με αυτο που ηρθε σε εμενα.

Σε κανα αλλο ετυχε κατι τετοιο?

Βασικά ενα ακομα σημείο που πρέπει να δίνετε προσοχή σε τέτοια mail είναι η διεύθυνση του link. Συνήθως εκτος απ'την εμφάνηση του site που σε παραπέμπει, είναι και το url παραπλήσιο ωστε να ξεγελάει στο μάτι (αλλα βεβαια ποτε ολοϊδιο).

πχ. αντι για: www.paypal.com/μπλα μπλα/μπλα.html

είναι: www.paypa1.com/μπλα μπλα/μπλα.html ή

www.paypall.com/μπλα μπλα/μπλα.html

ομοίως αντι για: www.ebay.com

ετσι ρίχνοντας μια γρήγορη ματια στην address bar, μπορείς να παρασυρθείς.

ναι μου έτυχε κι εμένα αυτό το fake paypal email και ήταν απίστευτα αληθοφανές..βέβαια το υποψιάστηκα μετά που ζήταγε κάτι στοιχεία παραπάνω για την κάρτα pin κτλ. Το πρώτο πράγμα πουθ έκανα ήταν να αλλάξω κατευθείαν τους κωδικούς μου.. και έστειλα και αυτό το fake email στην paypal για εξακρίβωση και μου απάντησαν ότι όντως ήταν fraud.

Θέλει λίγο προσοχή με αυτά τα mail!
